James Paschal, DDS

Growing up in Southern California, James Paschal, like many teens before him, found himself wearing braces. The experience was something that he enjoyed, and it sparked his interest in becoming a dentist. After receiving a Master of Public Health Degree from Loma Linda University in 1978, he went back to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1982. Dr. Paschal, his wife Melissa, and his two children Dave and Nicole, have since made Reno their home.

As a family dentist, Dr. Paschal is focused on providing the same level of care that he would for his own family. He even went on to complete a mini-residency in orthodontics from the Mid-America Orthodontic Society. He is also an Invisalign certified provider, and has been working with Invisalign braces for over 15 years. Dr. Paschal also holds a certificate in laser operation by the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

His professional memberships include:

  • The International Association for Orthodontics
  • The American Dental Association
  • The Nevada Dental Association
  • The Northern Nevada Dental Society

Each year, he and his office work with the Northern Nevada Dental Society to provide dental care for school children in Reno, who may have limited access to oral health care.

In his free time, he enjoys skiing, scuba diving, and kayaking. He also plays duplicate bridge twice a week!

Scott Wilson, DDS

Dr. Scott Wilson has been practicing dentistry for 16 years. He was born and raised in California as the oldest child in a family of 5 boys. Scott attended college in Utah at Brigham Young University where he played rugby. He graduated from dental school in 2002 from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Fransisco, CA.

Scott has three boys of his own and a bullmastiff named Menzo. Scott has traveled all over the world and is fluent in Portuguese. He is a former MMA fighter and has been training jiu-jitsu for over 20 years. Scott enjoys motorcycles, lifting weights, yoga, and spending time with his sons, and being social.

Dr. Wilson serves his patients by offering all phases of general dentistry in-house. He is available to discuss dental treatment options in detail and is always happy to offer second opinions.
