Orthodontics are used for a variety of reasons, including things like:

  • Poorly aligned jaws
  • Crooked, crowded, or missing teeth
  • Malocclusion (bad bite alignment)
  • Thumb-sucking
  • Traumatic injuries
  • Inherited anatomy

West Reno Dental provides two types of treatment for our patients to choose from:

Dr. Paschal is an Invisalign preferred provider, and has been providing the service since 2001. It’s even possible to view your tooth alignment on a virtual program before the process starts. The clear aligners are a great way to treat your smile without metal braces. And best of all, usually no one can tell that you’re wearing them!

Traditional Braces

For more complex bite needs, traditional braces can align problematic teeth – such as those that may be impacted or severely misaligned. Most of our patients in braces are between 10 to 14 years of age, because their facial structures are still developing. However, some adults may need them because of problematic teeth that could be harder to move with removable aligners.

Benefits of a Straighter Smile

When teeth bite together properly, it’s obvious that you’ll enjoy an improved appearance. But a straighter smile can actually improve your oral health. Straighter teeth are less likely to suffer from conditions like:

  • Gum disease
  • Tooth decay
  • TMJ disorders
