Do you hold back from smiling due to discolored or stained teeth? Don’t worry! We are here to help you out with our teeth whitening solution.
Our teeth get discolored or stained due to various reasons that include tea, coffee, red wine, dark food like pasta sauce or berries, and tobacco products. Teeth whitening is a fast and effective whitening procedure that brings back the whiter and brighter smile.
When Would You Need Teeth Whitening?
Teeth whitening procedure is required when you have:
- Teeth stained due to medications
- Normal wear of outer layer of teeth
- Yellow or stained teeth
In-office Teeth Whitening
At West Reno Dental, we offer teeth whitening treatment to eliminate dental stains and teeth discoloration to result in a whiter, beautiful smile. We use teeth whitening gels that contain a highly concentrated solution of hydrogen peroxide to work on dental stains and lighten the color of the teeth.
Opalescence Boost Whitening System
At West Reno Dental, we use the Opalescence Boost Whitening system, a chemically activated whitening treatment that offers quicker results because of its stronger prescription-strength formula. It contains 40% hydrogen peroxide gel, which, when chemically activated, results in brighter and stain-free smiles.
Opalescence Boost can be used to treat discolored teeth caused by intrinsic factors such as dental fluorosis, tetracycline, and trauma.
Since Opalescence Boost uses chemically-activated gel to brighten the teeth, they do not involve the use of uncomfortable heat, UV rays, or dental lasers to activate the process and hence suit patients with a dry mouth or highly sensitive teeth.
- Powerful 40% hydrogen peroxide gel, giving instant results
- Proprietary compound includes fluoride and potassium nitrate to minimizes sensitivity
- Perfectly Balanced pH
- Two to three 20-minute applications
What Does the Teeth Whitening Process Involve?
Our teeth whitening procedure requires one or two dental visits. The first one involves the initial consultation in which our dentist determines whether you are eligible for your teeth whitening procedure. If you are opting for our at-home treatment, we will take an impression of your teeth to build a custom-made tray for your at-home teeth whitening kit.
But if you opt for our in-office whitening treatment, we will apply a whitening solution (hydrogen peroxide) for up to three (3) twenty-minute intervals. This process takes only one to two hours. Also, it is simple as it does not require any prior preparation.
Benefits of Teeth Whitening
The benefits of teeth whitening are:
- It corrects brown, yellow, or spotted tooth staining.
- It suits people of every age.
- It improves your dull smile, restores brightness, and even makes your smile more beautiful than you ever desired.
How Long Does Teeth Whitening Last?
Teeth whitening procedure is not permanent. However, maintaining regular dental hygiene like brushing and flossing of teeth and visiting the dentist twice a year can make it last for about one to two years. Also, you have to avoid smoking and other food products that are responsible for staining your teeth.
After the treatment, instructions about oral hygiene or how to use an at-home teeth whitening kit will be provided to you. We assure you that our professionals will give you the best teeth whitening experience. Contact us and get the beautiful, white, and celebrity-looking smile you always desired.
